The World Health Organization, an organization with incredibly questionable politics, ethics, and morals; a company that lied to you, tried to have you censored, and gaslit the living shit out of you throughout the whole “pandemic” thing… announced that it has teamed up with AstraZeneca, a for-profit pharmaceutical company with its own set of questionable practices to the tune of billions in fines, penalties, and settlements… to train 10,000 doctors to treat the health issues associated with climate change, including mental health and cardiovascular issues.
Personally, I believe that to be the very definition of bullshit.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m acutely aware of the PR nightmare that could result just from the opening sentence of this article, but if you’ve ever read anything I’ve ever written, you know I’ve never given a fuck about such things. You think all of a sudden I’m going to start caring about optics, especially when we as a company take pride in being a source of unadulterated truth? Not a chance. A spade is a spade and we call it so.
So let’s unpack the big ugly suitcase on this partnership between an unelected body charged with informing you on all things health and wellness with a company who makes, sells, and distributes drugs. And don’t worry, this isn’t just a bitch-fest. There’s a point and a solution, I promise.
Let’s talk about the money first, because everyone wants to “follow the money.” If you look into this, and you don’t have to look very far, your US tax dollars are going to be allocated (they love spending your money) to help a for-profit company rake in more by training doctors to prescribe their drugs.
Oh… and did I forget to mention that this is in conjunction with Columbia University, an institution of higher education that already charges around $373,000 per student in tuition and fees? Seems like they’d have expenses covered on this one, but evidently not.
My point? Clearly there’s a monetary incentive for this whole thing. The WHO gets tax dollars, the majority of which come from US citizens, and gives a bunch of it to the drug manufacturers, who indoctrinate young, well meaning but misguided med students to prescribe the very drugs they sell to combat the medical maladies they attribute to climate change.
But why climate change?
I’ll give you my theory…
It’s by far the easiest copout imaginable.
If you can absolve people of responsibility for their health by attributing their sickness not to their lifestyle (the primary driver of all causes of mortality), but to something that has so many immeasurable variables (yet is generally accepted by the non-discerning average Joe) that’s it’s impossible to prove, then it couldn’t be easier to give them drugs, a lucrative, non-lifestyle remedy.
Think about this shit. There’s nothing like the climate related argument. We know almost nothing, but the pundits have convinced the world, chiefly for political reasons, that they know everything. I’m not going to get super deep and bore you here about the politics of it all, nor the uncertainty surrounding the “science,” and I could nerd out on historical models, atmospheric chemistry, biochemistry, oceanography, astronomy, and a veritable plethora of other shit, but you’d get glossy eyed and stop reading. So… I’ll simply say this: Modern instrumentation cannot retroactively measure things like temperature, CO2 levels, sea levels, weather phenomena, solar flare activity, or anything else, and until they get that flux capacitor to work, we don’t know shit, and anyone claiming we do is lying through their stupid, agenda-driven teeth. That’s just reality. It’s all immeasurable, short-sighted by very definition, and highly speculative. Zero out of infinity models have ever accurately predicted the weather for next Tuesday, let alone the human impact of global weather over time. ZERO. That tells anyone with half a brain that we just don’t know a fucking thing.
And that’s the BEST news for the drug dealers, because people trust the fuck out of doctors. They just do, and historically that was appropriate. So if they can train at least a few doctors to convince at least a few of their patients that they’re fat, sick, and depressed because of the weather and there’s no way for the patient to confirm or deny that assertion, then Katy bar the damn door to the tune of $20k per patient per year at the expense of the taxpayer or the money printers or whomever.
So what’s the solution?
Think.
For.
Yourself.
Use logic.
If it seems logical to you that the weather is responsible for your chronic and preventable conditions, then by all means, take all the drugs.
But… if that seems decidedly illogical and you want better for yourself than to be at the mercy of shit no one can prove to the benefit of your lambo-driving physician’s wallet and to the detriment of everything else, then let’s get all into the solutions… solutions that are as old as human history.
Move. Lift heavy shit. Run.
Nourish. Eat nutrient-dense foods like ruminants.
Recover. Sleep well.
Then… IF you think you might need pharmacological intervention, seek help from a doctor who thinks critically about the source of your problems (likely not the fucking weather) instead of treating the symptoms with drugs that cause more symptoms that require drugs that cause yet more symptoms (Rinse. Repeat.).
Dare I say problem solved?
On a valid and interesting side note: If you believe that man-made climate change is an existential threat and critically important to mitigate, then eat cows.
Why?
Because whilst cows are responsible for roughly 3.7% of emissions in the United States, a grass-fed, grass finished cow that feeds on non-arable land, is environment-enriching, sequesters more than its share of carbon output (making them carbon-negative), results in more mycelium, healthier soil, more microbes, more bugs, richer populations of supporting animals like birds, is nutrient-dense and delicious, and is a great tool in the prevention of chronic, preventable conditions.
Meanwhile the healthcare industry in the US, by their own admission in the documents outlining the WHO/AstraZeneca/Columbia cooperative, is responsible for 8.5% of emissions. That’s 2.3x the cow output and does absolutely nothing to enrich the environment that is allegedly causing everyone to get sick.
Rant over.
Almost…
PS: Before you send me a whole bunch of poorly thought out hate mail, know that I have lived my whole life amongst those who derive their income from the ocean. I love the environment. It’s responsible for the prosperity of my community and no one wants to protect it more than I do. I just have the capacity to think clearly, therefore I don’t believe for one second that anyone is fat or depressed because of man-made impacts on the weather. That’s just a non-starter for me.
